USS Drexler and former Kamikaze bring peace
Fred Mitchell and Gene Brick, survivors of the USS Drexler (2 Kamikaze planes sank their ship sank in 49 seconds) met with Ena san, Hamazono san, and Ueshima san. A tearful and emotional meeting, both parties became fast friends vowing to bury the burden they have carried for over 62 years. Traveling to Chiran in Southern Japan, Gene and Fred were able to visit the Kamikaze museum and hear about the squadron that ultimately sank their ship in 1945. To be able to take part in such a historic moment like this is really the highlight of being a filmmaker.

Praise God for giving these men forgiving hearts and open minds. What a wonderful day it will be when we can all live as brothers.
